Soharóza was invited to create a performance about the great avantgarde poet and artist the museum was named after, Lajos Kassák and his wife, the actress Jolán Simon. The latter one founded a so-called Reciting Choir in the 1920s, which consisted of working-class people members rather than trained performers. We decided not to reproduce the Reciting Choir as it was back then, instead we created a choir of 21st-century workers, walking on stage in contemporary office attire, performing songs composed with circle-song techniques, using Kassák’s poems and other pieces.
